About this course
The future lies in the hands of children. Therefore, children need educators as an inspiration and guidance for them. Early Childhood Education in Malaysia refers to education for infants, toddlers and young children. It focuses on child’s socio-emotional growth, cognitive, learning and physical skills in order to prepare children for basic primary school education.
Diploma in Early Childhood Education programme is designed for those who genuinely love children and passionate about teaching and learning. Nowadays, governments, parents and the general public place a greater emphasis on trained and qualified early childhood educators. This programme equips students with knowledge, skills and competencies required in childcare and preschool settings. Preschool principals, teachers and care takers who wants to upgrade their academic qualification are encouraged to pursue this programme. We view ourselves as an active and vibrant contributor in nurturing and shaping the future generation. Our syllabus adopts a practical approach by incorporating various modes of pedagogy such as face to face, e-learning, hands-on experience and internships.

Entry RequirementsApplicants must have one of the following Entry requirements:
- A pass in SPM with a minimum of 3 credits in any subject or its equivalent;
- A pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum of Grade C (GP 2.00) in any subject or its equivalent;
- A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Maqbul;
- A pass in SKM level 3 in Early Child Care/Preschool and pass SPM with a minimum of 1 credit in any subject;
- A Certificate in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or its equivalent;
- A pass in UEC (Unified Examination Certificate) with a minimum of 3 Grade B in any subjects or its equivalent;
- Any other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government.
