About this course

Accountancy has been always been an integral part of business operations. It is the systematic and comprehensive maintenance of financial records and information about the operation. Accounting is necessary in business operations as it provides a way for the company to oversee and manage its financial situation and assets.

Students taking Diploma of Accountancy (DOA) can expect to undergo a comprehensive program in which they will be taught tools of the trade. From legal technicalities to its practical knowledge and principles, the program will ensure that students are prepared to be qualified accounting technicians. Graduates of this program are recognized by the AIA and will then assist Chartered Accountants on their job or they can opt to progress further to the Bachelor (Hons) in Accounting & Financial Management Studies (University of Gloucestershire, UK). Our DIA graduates are also fully exempted by ACCA for Fundamentals Knowledge.

Entry RequirementsApplicants must have one of the following Entry requirements:

  • SPM/UEC/O-Level/equivalent: 3 credits (credit in Mathematics & pass in English)

International Student Only

International students who do not have the minimum English language entry requirement can be accepted into the programme. However, they are encouraged to enroll in the university Intensive English Programme (IEP) as a preparatory test and sit for the IELTS or other similar tests. Upon passing the test with 5.0 score or equivalent, students can formally enroll in the faculty programme.

Candidates are required to achieve A+/A in English and 3 out of these 4 subjects (Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Chemistry).
