About this course

The American Degree Transfer Programme (ADTP) is a flexible credit transfer programme that gives students a seamless transition to universities across the United States.  Students are given the opportunity to explore a wide range of courses from various fields, ranging from physical sciences, life sciences to art, history, literature, philosophy, and even religious studies.

Students will complete 24-65 credit hours in MCKL, while the remainder of their credit hours will be completed in a US university of their choice before launching into their career paths. Availability of Optional Practical Training (OPT) in the education system provides opportunities for graduates to gain industrial experience in the US and widen their network in their respective fields.

Affordable Cost
Enable students to obtain quality education in the U.S. at a reasonable cost. Course advisors will inform students of available scholarships and financial aid offered by U.S. colleges and universities for international students to help ease expenses.

Strong Practical Exposure
Curricular Practical Training (CPT) and Optional Practical Training (OPT) grant invaluable opportunities for students to gain relevant work experience in the U.S. during their studies and post-graduation.

*MPU: The Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) requires all students to take Mata Pelajaran Umum (MPU) (i.e. General Studies) within the duration of their studies. MCKL established a series of subjects that different programs need to implement for all students to meet the Ministry’s requirements. Subjects will differ depending on the institution and the level of degree the student is taking.

Entry RequirementsApplicants must have one of the following Entry requirements:

Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)
Min. 5 credits and a pass in Bahasa Melayu and Sejarah (History)

O-Levels / IGCSE
Min. 5 credits in any subjects

ICCE General Certificate
Min. 80% in 5 subjects

Unified Examination Certificate (UEC)
Min. 5 Bs in any subjects

Other Qualifications
Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) or Malaysian Government will be considered on a case-by-case basis
