About this course
Mechanical engineering is the most basic and fundamental of all engineering disciplines. It involves both things moving and stationary; for example, ranging from moving fluids to stationary structures. You will find mechanical engineers working in most if not all, industries.
Mechanical engineers have to work in teams with people from other disciplines. This work often involves design calculations, checking safety requirements and standards, drawing up specifications and identifying materials for applications.
