About this course
Accounting is the systematic recording, categorising, analysing, reporting and preparation of financial statements by following a set of rules and regulations that governs financial reporting.
Accountants analyse the performance and financial health of a business. They provide businesses with meaningful information to make sound decisions and allow businesses to strategise and achieve its business objectives.
The Bachelor of Accounting (Honours) is a prestigious accounting degree that is recognised by the Malaysia Institute of Accountants (MIA). With 3 years of relevant working experience after graduation, a graduate can apply to become a Chartered Accountant with MIA.
Moreover, graduates of the Bachelor of Accounting (Honours) are eligible for certain exemptions from the professional examinations of ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, CPA, MICPA, ICSA and CTIM.

Entry RequirementsApplicants must have one of the following Entry requirements:
- STPM with 2 Grade C+
OR
- A-Level with 2 Grade D
OR
- South Australian Matriculation (SAM) with an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) 70 and Grade B in 2 subjects
OR
- Canadian Pre-University (CPU) with an average of 70% in 6 subjects
OR
- Foundation in Science, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) with minimum CGPA 2.50
OR
- Foundation in Arts (Management and Accountancy Stream), Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) with minimum CGPA 2.50
OR
- Matriculation Certificate, Ministry of Education with minimum CGPA 2.50
OR
- Diploma, Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TAR UC) with minimum CGPA 2.50
OR
- Other equivalent qualification recognised by the Malaysian Government with minimum CGPA 2.50
AND
- A credit in SPM English Language / equivalent and Malaysian University English Test (MUET) Band 2/IELTS Band 5.0/TOEFL Score of 500 (not applicable for qualifications conducted fully in English language) and a credit in 1 SPM Mathematics subject / equivalent
OR
- Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with minimum Grade B5 in 5 subjects including 1 Mathematics subject and a Pass in English Language, a credit in SPM English Language / equivalent and Malaysian University English Test (MUET) Band 2/IELTS Band 5.0/TOEFL Score of 500
