About this course

As for the Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing, it is specifically designed to equip students with the basics of accounting, finance, computing, quantitative analysis, English, and economics besides a strong knowledge in marketing and management and their application to the real business environment. The courses offered are being specifically structured to produce excellent professionals who have in-depth knowledge of marketing management and are capable to bring out excellent ideas especially in the Malaysian business environment. The courses offered are being specifically planned to provide students with strong theoretical and practical knowledge in marketing before they can pursue on to the factual world of the marketing sectors or go on with their studies to obtain the Master’s Degree in Marketing or in other MBA programmes.

Entry RequirementsApplicants must have one of the following Entry requirements:

ENGLISH REQUIREMENT

  • Have taken MUET with minimum Band 1* or
  • Pass IELTS with Band 5.5 and above; or
  • Pass TOEFL with score 550 and above

*Candidates who  have not sat for MUET can still be accepted to enroll and given chance to take it before graduation  

Minimum Entry Requirement

SIJIL TINGGI PERSEKOLAHAN MALAYSIA ( STPM)

  • Pass STPM/equivalent with minimum CGPA 2.00 or grade C for two (2) subjects and Pass Mathematics and Bahasa Inggeris at SPM Level; or

SIJIL TINGGI AGAMA MALAYSIA (STAM)

*For STAM applications, student must have taken MUET with Band 1

MATRICULATION PROGRAMME

  • Pass Ministry of Education (MOE) Matriculation programme with minimum CGPA of 2.00; or

FOUNDATION PROGRAMME

  • Pass Foundation Studies with minimum CGPA of 2.00; or

A-LEVEL

  • Pass A-Level with a minimum of Gred C in 2 subjects; or

DIPLOMA/ HND DIPLOMA PROGRAMME

  • Pass Diploma programme with minimum CGPA of 2.00 from recognized institution by Government of Malaysia; or

DIPLOMA VOKASIONAL MALAYSIA (DVM)

Pass DVM in related fields AND Pass Sijil Vokasional Malaysia (SVM) with:

1) An Academic Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.33 or higher;

2) A Vocational CGPA of 3.67 or higher and competent in all vocational modules;

3) A credit in Bahasa Melayu (SVM 1104).

 **Cohort 2013 onwards also need to get an exemption from obtaining a pass grade for Sejarah at SPM level.

UEC

  • Pass UEC with a minimum of grade B in 5 subjects

*For HR programme must be including Maths and BI subjects

INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE DIPLOMA (IB)

  • Pass IB with total points at least 30 points; or

SAME/WACE/AUSMAT

  • Pass South Australian Matriculation (SAM) and South Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT) with 70%; or
  • South Australia Certificate of Education (SACE) and Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) with Band 2 in 2 subjects; or

OTHERS

  • Other equivalent qualification recognized by Government of Malaysia.

International Student Only

International students are required to have one of the English proficiency score stated below to enrol in UNITEN. Foundation students who do not fulfill this English requirement are required to sit for the Test of English Proficiency (TEP) before they could enroll in the English Short Course (ESC).
