Faculty Highlights
HELP’s innovative and creative communication programmes prepare students for working across the media industry and beyond. The skills attained on these courses will enhance students’ personal and professional growth in an ever expanding industry. In addition, the knowledge and practice gained will provide students with a solid foundation for future studies or work across all other sectors. Communication is a base skill in all spheres of life. We can have the brightest ideas in the world; if we cannot communicate these ideas effectively then they will be lost. Communication skills enhance our vocal, written and visual presentation; the essential skills that employers are looking for.
Communication is a global phenomenon, dealing with people right across the planet utilising print, broadcast and digital media, including newspapers, magazines, television, radio and the Internet. The career choices for communication graduates are incredibly diverse and include journalism, film making, photography, radio presenting, advertising, marketing, and human resource as well as business studies, economics, education, psychology, social work, performing arts, engineering, accounting and many more.
Communication is a wide spectrum of possibility and you are given the chance to specialise in certain areas to enhance your marketability. At HELP University these are: public relations, marketing communication and media studies. The three degrees awarded by HELP University – BComm (Hons) Public Relations, BComm (Hons) Marketing Communication and BComm (Hons) Media Studies demonstrates clearly that you have taken sufficient subject areas in your specialist areas and prospective employers are therefore assured that you are prepared and ready to fit into your role, this building and enhancing your career. The path to success is as unique as you are.
At HELP University we look after you holistically. We help you achieve academically, practically, socially and emotionally. Your life here at HELP University will be one of the most rewarding, enriching, creative and enjoyable times of your life. So don’t hold back, let us HELP you succeed and live a life of significance through our Bachelor of Communication (Honours) programmes today.
Choosing the right programme that comes with the appropriate facilities and ambience for study is any parent’s priority. Thus, the question arises, why HELP for Law?
Allow us to introduce you to the philosophy of the Faculty. HELP University has been enjoying the privilege of being the first private university to introduce the UK Degree Transfer Programme (Law) which has been recognised by prestigious and reputable universities in the UK. To date, we have as our partners Cardiff University, University of the West of England, Bristol, Aberystwyth University, University of Liverpool, University of Manchester, University of Sheffield, Northumbria University, University of Hertfordshire and the University of Leeds and The School of Oriental & African Studies, London (SOAS). The programme has also received full accreditation from the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).
2009 also saw the Department expand by introducing its own Bachelor of Laws Honours degree. The Bachelor of Laws Honours degree has received full accreditation from the Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA) and received recognition from Malaysian Legal Profession Qualifying Board (MLPQB) in June 2019.
The Faculty assures you of quality teaching as we have teaching faculty who are experienced, dedicated and qualified, some of whom were former practitioners who have turned to full time academic life. We believe that great careers are built on firm foundations. Our approach is holistic. We strive to listen, to learn, and to help students define their dreams and achieve their aspirations.
