About this course

The Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT) is an internationally recognised pre-university programme, well-structured with a balanced emphasis on coursework and external examinations. Academic scores are based on continuous school assessments and external examinations held in November. Upon completion of this programme, successful students will be awarded the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) and gain entries into top universities of their choice both locally and abroad.

NOTE:

  1. *Additional English proficiency evidence is required to be produced for EALD (for less than 7 years of English medium education)
  2. ATAR courses are only offered in January & June intakes.
  3. General subjects and Human Biology (ATAR course) are only offered in the June intake.
  4. August intake students will need to re-register their courses in the subsequent January semester allowing them to choose different course combination depending on the course requirement.

Entry RequirementsApplicants must have one of the following Entry requirements:

Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)
Min. 5 credits and a pass in Bahasa Melayu and Sejarah (History)

O-Levels / IGCSE
Min. 5 credits in any subjects

ICCE General Certificate
Min. 80% in 5 subjects

Unified Examination Certificate (UEC)
Min. 5 Bs

Other Qualifications
Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) or Malaysian Government will be considered on a case-by-case basis

Specific Requirement – For MCKL College (Penang, Pykett Campus):
SPM or IGCSE – A minimum grade C (credit) in any of the subject combinations below:

  1. Sciences- Physics, Chemistry, Biology
  2. Mathematics- Mathematics, Additional Mathematics
  3. Languages-English
  4. Humanities-Accounting, Business Studies, Economics
