About this course

The Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of London (LL.B) is one of the prerequisite qualifications to embark on an illustrious career as a lawyer. The prestigious University of London LLB Degree, established 100 years ago, is the gold standard for Law Degrees. With a distinguished worldwide reputation, the University was the first to offer a degree to external students the world over.

In Malaysia, the LLB programme is fully accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and recognised by the Legal Profession Qualifying Board of Malaysia (LPQB). After graduating with this LL.B Law degree with the minimum requirements, you may proceed to take the Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) in Malaysia, or the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) in the UK, and after that, join the legal profession as Barristers, Solicitors, and judges.

If you should decide to pursue careers other than in the legal field, this internationally recognised Law degree opens doors for you to work in a myriad of industries globally. It is a highly respected qualification in the government and corporate sector. This qualification is highly sought-after in industries such as banking, media, property, business, politics, non-profit organisations (NGO), and many more. Job options would include working as a legal advisor, journalist, legal editor, mediator, or arbitrator.  It would also come in handy should you decide to be a social advocate. Public listed companies and most large firms would have an in-house legal department, where having a law degree would make you an essential part of the team.
